Period clothing. Fancy vernacular. History. Knitting needles, tall ships, and nineteenth century romance novels. All in a teacup.

I’m an aspiring novelist and amateur historian looking for elucidation, inspiration, and my next cup of tea.

In this blog, I shall speechify on things like the wonders of the universe, movies I think people should watch, historical nuances, literary criticism, and the trials of my latest knitting project. I like Spitfires, tricorn hats, and falling in love with book characters.

The dream is to move to Scotland, live in a cottage, and write novels full-time. Until then, sharp’s the word and quick’s the action! Tally-ho!
